Jerry began his funeral service career in 1983, and is a licensed funeral director in Virginia, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Florida. In April 2016, he relocated to Ormond Beach from Fredericksburg, VA. Jerry is the father of one son, and enjoys travel and skiing in his free time.

Christine has been at Cardwell since 1969, but also worked part-time with her parents in Volusia County's first crematory from 1967 to 1976. After working as an apprentice embalmer from 1979 to 1984, she transitioned into an administration role where she continues to work today.

Tim started helped families make their funeral pre-arrangements with Lohman in October 2012, but has worked off and on in the funeral industry since age 16. The longtime Florida resident attended Miami Dade Community College's School of Funeral Service Education and the St. John Vianney College Seminary. He is a past member of Knights of Columbus, and formerly served as youth minister at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

Leslie organizes special events that provide quality healing experiences to all in our community. With a passion for helping people, she volunteers her time with the Conklin Center for the Blind and Huntington Disease Society of America. She also belongs to the Toastmasters Club.

Artie Gauck, Currier & Funeral Assistant

Artie joined our staff in 2000. He was born in Long Island, and worked in construction before moving to the funeral industry in 1979. After his wife Eileen passed away, he began a bereavement group at Crane Lakes. He is currently involved in the community through his membership with the Eagles, the Elks, and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Artie lives in Port Orange with his cat McKenna, and enjoys boating, golfing and fishing in his spare time.

Remembering Larry Summers

Larry was a caring and dedicated funeral director for more than 50 years. He joined the Marine Corps after high school to serve in the Korean War. After his three-year tour, he moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where he met and married the love of his life, Deanna. In 1970, he relocated his family to Daytona Beach to join the funeral home known then as Baggett-McIntosh. By 1973, the name was changed to Baggett & Summers Funeral Home to reflect his co-ownership.
