In 1979 she retired as director of the Social Service Department at Hallmark and later became a secretary in her husband’s family-owned funeral home in Schenectady. Having vacationed in Daytona Beach for many years, they retired to this area in 1992.
She became an active member of the United Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon and on other committees. Through the church, she volunteered at the Halifax Urban Ministries. Marilyn loved her family and friends, enjoyed traveling, gardening and the OG Girls Organ Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Dick, after 55 years of marriage.
